Io: The Prometheus Plume (APOD 11 Feb 2007)
Didn't know where to post this, but it should be 28 years, not 18. I was just practicing for the math section of the GRE, so I'm absolutely positive about that.
Also, there may be a 3rd plume.
South south west, just below the shadow line, in the dark. There's a blur which I think can only be another plume. It should even be possible to calculate its minimum height.

Or could it be a mountain that is high enough to catch some light?

The picture is from 1997, so the age of 18 is right, relative to the time of the photo.AnotherPOD wrote:Didn't know where to post this, but it should be 28 years, not 18. I was just practicing for the math section of the GRE, so I'm absolutely positive about that.
