Sometimes I wonder how planet earth found a peaceful place so that all life on earth could be given time to evolve.

Looking at the image spanning 14 million light yrs. I would have expected more than two stars exploding adding to the image.

Since we've been blessed with an opportunity to observe the expanding effect of a burst of photons being reflected back to us and and to be able to observe it's progression over time, is there a project underway to build a three dimensional computer model of the nebulosity around the star?

There seem to be some interesting structures revealed in cloud. To me it seems it would be a shame to even miss a single day of an image a day "film" of how it is changing given the distance light can travel in a day.

Hello Arbytronix

That is a good idea.

I wonder if anybody has done it.

For those interested, this Hubblesite page has info on the location, image size (including a scale bar), and orientation of the APOD.
