In the Nov 9 APOD it was said that 40 earths could line up along the length of the solar prominence. That seemed to be way to few looking at the scale of the image. I would have thought may more. Did that seem like to small a comparason to any one else?

Yes, a sculpture viewer would agree, yet the prominence depicted I think is correct.
Welcome to the APOD forums, where many artists get their inspirations from images over their heads.
As a by gone artist, my imagination tries to conceive a way to depict this with modern electronic apparatus to make a similar form of art, maybe in holographic prismal and polarized glass?
