FITS Header

Post by Matt Merlo » Wed Jun 15, 2005 6:50 pm

Justin and I have discovered that the temperture reading displayed in the FITS header sometimes incorrect. The temperture readings are around 10^25 degrees C, which is around the temp of the Big Bang. So unless the Concams are recreating the Big Bang, there is a definate problem with the header. Here are some examples(open them with notepad or Word):

http://nightskylive.net/kp/kp050605/kp0 ... 3254p.fits

Since these temps are wrong, its my opinion that we cannot trust any of the info in the header until we figure out what is wrong
