Where can you watch the 2004 Perseids meteor shower? Right here. No matter where you are in the world, no matter how cloudy your sky, if you have an web browser, you can watch the peak of the 2004 Perseids on the NSL gobal network of all-sky cameras (CONCAMs).

Since the constellation Perseus is in the north, northern CONCAMs should have the best view. Two particularly good cameras for this are the Mauna Kea and Canary Island CONCAM3s. I would advice keeping tabs on the main station pages for those CONCAMs througout August 11 and 12. Clicking on the main image will play a movie of the last 10 images, where dim meteors might be easier to see. For the first time, transient detection software may box the Canary Island meteors as transients, although some of the boxes might be unrelated cosmic ray hits on the CCD.
