Does anyone know of a way to display powerpoint slides from the Classroom directly on web pages, without having to download the entire PPT file Candy Crush?

I don't think you can. There are online PPT viewers if you don't have PowerPoint that let you view the slides in a browser, and you can use the online version of Microsoft Office for free to do this, but in any case, you need to have the PPT file first.

What is the difficulty with downloading the PPT files? Most aren't very large.

Google Slides works pretty well. The file remains in .pptx format but you can display it in a browser and share as needed.

Depending on your needs and the tools you have available, the above methods can help you present PowerPoint Slides from Classroom directly to the website without downloading the entire PPT file. Experiment and see which method works best for you.
