The Mid-Autumn Festival, also called “Moon Festival”, is held on September 29th in 2023 in Taiwan and other Asian culture countries. It is also the 15th day of the eighth month in the Chinese lunar calendar. This traditional festival celebrates the autumn harvest and the brightest and fullest Moon of the year. It’s the 15th day after the New Moon, the mid-point of the cycle. The Moon phase is full Moon.
People in Asia always enjoy the full Moon and on Moon Festival night. But don’t forget the Moon on the day is rising around 6pm and setting around 6am ( next morning ). So we can also enjoy the full Moon in the next morning!
