Natural (zodiacal light, airglow, Milky way, stars) lights fighting against unnatural lights (light pollution) over Gran Canaria.
Panorama made of 40 pics with each exposed for 15 s at ISO 8000. I used Canon EOS 6D modded with Sigma Art 24 mm f/1.4@2.8.

Copyright: LOOTEN Julien For early risers, around 6:20 this morning you may have seen three "stars" lined up in the sky (looking southeast). It is actually a conjunction of three planets: Venus, Saturn and Mars

In this photograph, we can see Venus on the left of the bell tower and Saturn and Mars on the right. They seem to surround the Sainte-Presentine church in Frontenac (Gironde - France). The colors of the sunrise were magnificent, and the atmosphere is even more beautiful with the frosty grass (-4°C).

You will still be able to observe this rapprochement in the coming days (you still need to have good weather)…

NGC 4395 in Canes Venatici

NGC 4395 is a beautiful low surface brightness seyfert type spiral galaxy in Canes Venatici. It has several prominent spiral arms, blue star forming regions and Ha emission areas. NGC 4395 lies 14million light years distant.

Software: Sequence Generator Pro, CCDStack, Adobe Photoshop, Topaz Gigapixel

The Lum channel is 480 minutes total exposure to show the faint tidal loops.

No problem. I found the discovery intriguing so I searched for it. I thought others might enjoy reading about it.

It must be really exciting to be part of a new discovery such as this.

The Peanut Nebula - SH2-205
By far the dimmest object I've ever shot. I would shoot a few hours and process, see nothing and shoot a few more hours, repeat for 15 hours. Finally finished shooting on March 3rd, 2022.

180 shots at 300 seconds each from my Bortle 4 backyard with a ZWO ASI2600MC camera, William Optics GT81 telescope, and Losmandy GM811G equatorial mount.

The ancient story of the titan Atlas, who was forced to carry the sky on his shoulders by Zeus at the end of the great battle between Olympians and Titans. In this image, the Andromeda galaxy still visible on the skies of the beginning of the year is presented in a composition reminiscent of that mythological story, a view from the skies of the Tatacoa desert inside Colombia.
