Analemma of the Sun

Two and half year ago I completed my third analemma project. My original idea was to create an all-sky scene with positioning the camera upwards but then somehow I found a wide-screen approach seems more exciting.

Now I was wondering how the photo would look like in its "less exciting" form. Here is the result:



Maybe I should have kept this form..

One image was exposed for the lunar eclipse and the second image was exposed to demonstrate the Beehive Cluster, M44. They were combined in Photoshop CC.

Super Blood Wolf Moon Eclipse Over Regina Caelorum Observatory
Copyright: Randall Light, MD This photo is a collage of an image of the Regina Caelorum Observatory (private) at nautical twilight and 10 images at various stages of the lunar eclipse. The lunar eclipse images were taken with a Nikon D810 and an Astro-Tech AT10RCT. Eclipse images were reduced to 2.5% of their original size and combined in sequence with the observatory image.
