Starship Asterisk*

It has been pointed out to me that APOD sometimes appears on the list of most popular web pages of the US government, at least as indicated by http://analytics.usa.gov/ . I have been checking this page of late, and sometimes APOD appears right on the "Top 20" on the upper right, but more frequently, APOD has been appearing in the "7 Days" and "30 Days" lists. I am not sure how long this will last, nor even if this is a good thing, but I report it here in case anyone else is interested or in case it ever becomes important in the future to verify APOD's popular appeal in the USA.

It is very likely to continue in spurts through the DAWN mission and the New Horizons mission. As these 2 workhorses begin to send back images of previously unseen realms, and as those images are used as APOD's, the traffic will become burdensome
