Provocative Title 2

Post by owlice » Thu Jan 23, 2014 11:16 am

Long rambling vague-worded paragraph. Emphatic assertion.

Ambiguous query?

Public Congratulatory exclamation regarding recreation of long dormant thread!
Expression of puzzlement over prior thread's apparent stagnation and early expiration?
Insertion of appropriate Smilie

The thought, “The Meta-thread’s Dead”,
too provocative for Owlice’s head.
So early one day,
In her own special way,
She created a more Provocative Thread

Title Changed Mid-topic for No Good Reason

Post by Nitpicker » Fri Jan 24, 2014 1:26 am

The wet season appears to have just started here, in time for the Australia Day long-weekend: "bye Sun". Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo. Wow, I just noticed that in the Wikipedia article -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buffalo_bu ... lo_buffalo -- it is claimed that the preceding sentence is grammatically correct in American English. But Wikipedia does not include the full stop (or period). What an international disgrace!

Or is this a typo, or a bluffao?

I've read that article a few times and I'm still tempted to think that it's all a bunch of buffalo poop.

Query on whether this was intended to be a "meta topic" or an "actual topic following the pattern of the first post". Expression of confusion. Observation that it appears to be at risk of becoming neither. Mention of penchant for alcoholic beverages whilst observing the sky.

Confirmation of Nitpicker's second suspicion. Apology for failure earlier in thread. Serious threat of future strict moderation tempered by lighthearted joke and winking emoticon. Reference to previous thread for guidance.

Suggestion to return to initial thread subject. Recant of previous proposal with insinuation that it was written by an individual with lower than average brain activity.

Expression of how much fun these meta topics can be. Statement that it is a new experience. Unfounded theory on how previous non-meta buffalo comment could be redeemed. Unwise and unwarranted pre-emptive disagreement with a more senior forum member from Colorado.

Expression of doubt that said Coloradoan will read thread. Amusement about the word Coloradoan.

Enthusiastic statement of appreciation for previous congratulatory exclamation and five-line expression in popular poetry form; three emoticons indicating happiness.

Observation and expression of gratitude for return to original premise; acceptance of offered contrition and covert amused reference to comment on fecal matter with assumption of bovid source of same rather than sports team or resident of city with bovid appellation. (Onomatopoetic childish expression of disgust!)

Gracious statement of welcome to poster lacking experience with thread premise; declaration of high expectations for amusement with poster's participation.

Off-topic comment regarding sounds coming from adjacent room. Statement of local time.

Side note expressing disappointment that there really is no sports team with the name of "The <local area> Poops". Mild guffaw at own joke, knowing full well that it won't be that funny after good night's sleep. Decisive lack of emoticon, in metaphorical middle-finger salute to post-modernity.

A line to envoke who & where,
another to rhyme it quite fair.
Add a third to the mix,
and a fourth just to fix,
then a fifth, please end it with care

Totally frivolous, irrelevant, and nonsensical post.

Sequential reply to previous ten posts delimited by quote boxes. Onomatopoetic interjection and conclusion that posting is hard work.

Perfectly clear and reasonable answer to question which has been already been answered several times in earlier posts.
