In this class, we discuss the theoretical underpinnings of donuts, their use in our everyday lives, and their effects upon our society. Particular emphasis will be placed on the buying, eating, and enjoying of donuts in the context of a modern American lifestyle and society.

Some prior experience with donuts would be helpful.

I feel happy to take a class about the phenomenon Doughnuts causes.
I am not a big expert, I come from a country where I grew up with Doughnut's cousin, the Berliner Pancake.
The dough, the preparation style and taste is very similar, depends also on recipe variations, only one big and very important difference is:
The hole! Berliners don't have a hole.

The Doughnuts known as in USA today flooded Europe and especially Germany not many years ago, approximately 8-10 years ago, and it wasn't popular as today.
My enthusiasm in exploring food with high calories let me buy some of them.
I came to these conclusions:
- looks yummy
- comes in appealing colorful icing
- tastes as good as Berliners
- I pay more more money for a doughnut as for Berliners, because the Doughnut has a hole and less mass
- the filling in a Berliner tastes better with plum jam made in Germany
- they have the same calories
- drives blood sugar superfast up, can cause hyperglycemic shock
-both taste better when putting on some Nutella, German chocolate cream
- by inviting friends for Doughnut and or Berliners, they make this face:
I also praise the invention of the hole in the Doughnut for explaining a 3D phenomenon in physics. Makes physics understand much better.
I miss in Europe the vast variety of Doughnuts, my experiments are limited
I don't know what effects the Doughnut mafia will have, some conspiracy says, they want to change the world order and claim world domination,
and the conspiracy that they work hand in hand with diet product companies.
The dentists are supporting the consumption of Doughnuts because they fear getting unemployed when people stop eating sweets
Diabetologists have bought lots of stocks from Doughnuts Companies too
I am eager to hear from Rob, the Doughnut Gourmet and Expert
