Sun's Location in North America

I live in New Haven, CT area. According to my recollection, the sun's location in the sky as it rises in the summertime has changed. I have to move my view point at least 30 degrees towards the north of its previous normal location in the sky this time of the year to look at the sunrise now. Is the earth's tilt changing? Or is it a different phenomenon?
Thank you for your insight.

Your sunrise should have occurred about 30 degrees to the north of due East this morning
just as it did around July 9th of last year.
Your sunrise should be about 30 degrees to the north of due West this evening
just as it did around July 9th of last year.

Thank you for your input. You are saying that the sun's position on the horizon is exactly where it should be for this time of the year.
I guess my recollection is not accurate. I am glad the hear that it's not the sun, it is me! I really appreciate your response.
