I took an image of the transit by projecting an image of the sun through my telescope onto a piece of paper. I think Venus is the dot on the right side.

Nope. You made this image a few hours before Venus began its transit.TNT wrote:I took an image of the transit by projecting an image of the sun through my telescope onto a piece of paper. I think Venus is the dot on the right side.
Oh great. I thought it ended at 11 UTC. Or did it begin at that time?Chris Peterson wrote:Nope. He posted his image before the transit even began. The timestamp on the post itself is accurate. But how do you know the user timezone and whether his camera's time is set correctly?
If he is CST then it was taken at 19:02 UTC and the eclipse began at roughly 20:02 UTC.
It was a bit of time wondering "But Thierry? What happened? What hatching in secret to Venus?" And here you are, UNIQUE in the world did you get the supreme idea. You trolled EVERYONE, including space agencies and observatories ... you're a genius.Thierry Legault wrote:Why only one transit when one can have two?
