Trajectory for Comet Machholz
Trajectory for Comet Machholz
Can anyone point me to an image or plot of the trajectory of the new Comet Machholz? I know NASA or other organizations often produce a 'map' showing the sun, planetary orbits and the trajectory of a particular comet, and I would like to understand the path of this comet in relation to the solar system.

This page was referenced in 13 December 2004's APOD: Announcing Comet Machholz. Is that not what you're after?

No. That APOD only shows an image of the comet, not the path it will be taking through the solar system.
About the closest example of what I seek is

I think it's what you search

I found that on this page http://neo.jpl.nasa.gov/orbits/

Respectfully, I didn't just link to the APOD, but to a page with the prominent title near the top: "Finder Charts and Orbital DiagramsRJ Emery wrote:No. That APOD only shows an image of the comet, not the path it will be taking through the solar system.

Linked from that first link are these two figures:

Again, if I'm mistaken with regards to the information you're seeking, my apologies, but it would appear as if I've provided a web page giving what you're after.
