The bright planets Venus and Jupiter shine in the evening sky behind the Kepler memorial in Linz, Austria. Kepler lived and worked in Linz from 1612 until 1624, longer than at any other place in his eventful life. Amongst others, he discovered the 3rd of his famous rules of planetary motion and published his work Harmonices Mundi libri V during that time.

I was lucky enough to capture the exact same side of Mars almost 5 weeks apart. You can see the dramatic melting of the ice cap, as well as the lighting changes prior to and after opposition.
Captured using a C14 telescope and flea3 camera from Nashville, TN.
I'm feeling tired and a bit sick, and I don't have the energy for much commenting, but I must say that this thread is a joy to look at. So thank you for taking your lovely pictures and posting them, everyone!

Mars - 360 - Opposition March 5th

Mars sequence of little over a month showing a full rotation of the red planet. Center image closest (opposition) approach to Earth on march 5th.
As Jupiter and Venus kept their date this evening, SPACE team also paid a visit to them!!

The Cathedral Of The Sacred Heart is a Roman Catholic cathedral and one of the oldest church buildings in New Delhi. Father Luke, took the initiative to build the church, and the Archbishop of Agra in 1929 Rev. Dr. E.Vanni laid the foundation stone in 1929 and construction began in 1930. Sir Anthony de Mello donated the main Altar of the Church, which is made of pure marble. The Archbishop of Agra presented a bell, vestments and altar furniture. The project was financed by the colonial officers of the British Empire.
