Distance to the post

I have spent about an hour going thourgh at least 100 posts and cannot find any ifnormation about where the camera was with respect to the post and what was the focal setting of the camera.

Can anybody point me to any link where this info is already posted. I would like to do some numbers with the optics and some simulations to test the bug theory...

Any help?

LOOKING AT THE PHOTO AND THE RELATIVE SIZES OF THE WHITE CAR NEAR THE POINT OF LAND PRIOR TO THE PIER, I WOULD ESTIMATE THAT THE POINT IS APPROX 1/4 MILE AWAY AND THAT THE PIER IS ABOUT TWICE THAT. (COULD BE LESS LIKE ABOUT 1/2K.)
