I like the way the trees are silhouetted in the early morning light before sunrise!

here's where I spent half of this summer:
I would post a picture of bear, too, but he smashed my camera with his balalajka.

Makc, it wouldn't have mattered if you went away for a while or not. I didn't know you were from the Big Bear to begin with. Nice symbols around your name. They kinda add *pa-zazz*.

makc, interesting instrument! I'd never heard of a Balalaika.
I started reading more about them. Get a load of this:
I was stuck by the reaction of the audience in the video. I thought the performance was very impressive; however, other than a few individuals, most of the audience seemed rather...unmoved.

I, too, think that your pictures are very beautiful, makc.
When I was a kid, everybody liked the "Kalinka" song. It was the most Russian, or perhaps the most Soviet, song we knew.
I think this is a great video, although slightly marred by those somewhat over the top guys in outrageous hairdos and shoes.

These days I see alot of people around that I can describe by Joe mama quote: "if it aint a pack of cigarettes, I'm not interested".

Looked out the front door this morning and the sunlit sky was really nice.
Snow around here is very unpredictable. It is usually wet slimy stuff that melts away soon after it falls. We've had several dusting/melting sessions over the last few days. So far it's been enough to look pretty but not enough to cause traffic problems.
