Picture of the Day, Australian Streak

I suspect
I am in my fifties and have only seen this once. There were dark broken clouds and blue sky. The weather was changing.
What I suspect is
- the location of the light pole is just coincidental.
- that the flash and "smoke" is a reflection of the sun peeking out between clouds.
- the streak is the sun light being refracted by the water vapor in the atmosphere.
If there was a weather front going through could it be at the boundary between the two air masses?
