newbie question... How to post images

Greetings all,

I'd like to upload a small (36K) image to a thread to facilitate discussion.

I'm new here. How can I upload an image without referencing a URL ? The image is on my hard drive.

thanks very much for the informational link ! In fact, I wanted to post an image pursuant to the "prominence" thread. I guess I'll have wait until I reach the 10 post required minimum !
