891....

891 is a bit less than 1,000.

891 is not the meaning of life, since 42 is the meaning of life.

891 divided by 42 is 21.214285, plus possibly an endless number of more decimals.

If you get an infinity of decimals when you divide 891 by 42, does that make 891 divided by the meaning of life an aspect of inifinity?

Image

21.214285 is close enough to half of 42 that 891 divided by 42 can be seen as close to half the meaning of life, plus an infinity of decimals.

So what is all this about?

Merely that this is my eight-hundred-ninety-first post, and NGC 891 is a pretty galaxy.

891 divided by 42 produces an endless number of 42's :

Thanks, Art!! I really enjoyed that! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

And thanks for going to the trouble of coloring all those 42s red! (Hey, you could have colored them blue, too, but red is certainly good enough here!)

This lady is definitely not me, but she is happily contemplating the infinite number of 42s and the infinite repetition of the meaning of life! In red, too!

Let's have a green smile to celebrate!

Mean tropical year ~ 365.24219 mean solar days

Neuferian year = 365 + 8/33 days = 365.24242424242424242424242424242424......

Gregorian year = 365.2425 mean solar days

Julian year = 365.25 days

[I.e., 8 leap years every 33 years]

And hey, I forgot that I just passed by 908 (I thought that rang a bell), but better late than never...
