IC 342 Galaxy

Hello everybody,
i'm new here on this forum! I took this picture on friday, 17 agoust and i would like to share it with you, it's the Galaxy Ic 342/ Maffei Group:

Scope: Gso RC 8"
Mount: Neq6
Camera : Atik 314L
Guide : Starshoot Autoguider on ST 80
Total exposition: 4 hours in L and 4x500sec in each channel (rgb) in bin 2x
Software: MaximDl, Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro,NeatImage

I took this picture at 2600 meters over Sestriere, West Alps, Italy.

I liked it. This is a less imaged galaxy and it looks good. The reddish colour because of Milky Way's obscuring dust stands out.

Thanks! This is one galaxy part of the closest group of our Milky Way,Andromeda,m33, group. it's 10 milion of light-years away from us.Always think about how many worlds there are out of here!

2600 above sea level is a good height for astrophotography.
You must be very cold, but take away a lot humidiy the environment.
I see that you can still stretch a bit more this picture. :wink:

Thanks, yes the place is a little bit cold, but sometimes there is a lot of wind.The weather can changes very quickly . This is the place, i took this picture awaiting to do polar alignment :
