I voted for the Magellanic Cloud, it looks like a cosmic bathtub which leads to another universe or something, i................. like it!

Oh goodie, I love these kinds of polls!
Hmmmmm... for me as a galaxy lover, the galaxy fare was unusually unsustaining here, although it was a lot of fun to see a supernova go off! Bravo! The resolution was kind of iffy, though. The Eagle nebula was beautiful, and the color of it was so much better than it usually is when this object is photographed, but it isn't as if we haven't seen pictures of this part of the sky before.
I'm usually pretty bored by solar images, but I must say that this one was a beauty. Okay, I'll give it my vote! (Even though the Sun looks yellow, or is that brown, in it!)

Note the "limb brightening" where you'd expect limb darkening. And the solar prominences are blue. And the Sun is kind of egg-shaped. Fascinating. There is something otherworldly about this Sun. Perhaps it is our Sun's evil twin in an anti-matter universe. Perhaps it is the Sun of Mordor, shining down on that hellmouth thing where Frodo was supposed to throw his ring?

Oh, and by the way, thanks, Paul!

Well, it was a quite hard decision. But in the end I decided for #2 because of the high resolution and the nice colors!
I like the SN, too! I see that it was hard work to create these images!

I liked NGC 4449, primarilly because it's something I don't recall having seen before.
