The conjunction of the moon and Venus is currently a lovely sight in the western sky. This
conjunction generated even more interest than usual because Venus was occulted by the
moon on May 16.

Below are images of this event submitted for consideration as an APOD; most of the images
have links that will take you to interesting information about the image. Please check out
the associated websites for more images and cool info!

If you have an image of the conjunction to share, please feel free to add it to this thread.

Thank you!

This one's a little different: an allsky camera capture of a bright fireball over Colorado, as seen from the roof of the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. The meteor seems to be coming from the direction of the Moon (at 290°) and Venus (at 300°). This event was recorded on May 16 at 21:56 MDT.
