This island is Hydromagnesite stromatolites:

Hydromagnesite stromatolites occur all around the Salda lake margins.

<<Hydromagnesite is a hydrated magnesium carbonate mineral which generally occurs associated with the weathering products of magnesium containing minerals such as serpentine or brucite. It also sometimes appears in caves, deposited from water that has seeped through magnesium rich rocks.>>

Hydromagnesite Deposits of Atlin, BC:
An Analog for CO2 Sequestration?

Ephemeral hydromagnesite playas occupy the area surrounding Atlin, BC. Pit, core, and surficial samples were obtained to study the mineralogical binding of atmospheric CO2. Similar reactions occur in mine residues where acceleration of carbonate alteration could be employed to mitigate industrial greenhouse gas emissions.

<<On the Landsat Thematic Mapper data representing the Lake Salda, great reflectance differences between some of the coastal parts and the other regions are determined. Using the processed Landsat data obtained through image processing techniques, the distribution of these areas were more close investigated. The satellite images, in-situ observations, and mineral-ogical analysis of the samples collected at the study area showed that these areas include hydromagnesite and small amounts of calcite, dolomite and serpantine. The field observations indicated that these minerals are generally formed at the southwestern and southeastern parts of Lake Salda and were transported mostly to the northern part of the lake.

On the other hand, the laboratory.experiments exhibited that for the formation of the hydromagnesite mineral a temperature of 25 degrees C and 1 atm are needed. Therefore, it is interesting that this mineral, rarely formed in nature, is formed at Lake Salda Lake under the above mentioned climatological and hydraulical conditions.>>

What's the big deal over Clean Coal? How is it any cleaner than petroleum?
The same scrubbing and sequestering policies can be applied to petroleum as coal.

The US has A LOT MORE coal than petroleum.

If it works for coal (and that is a BIG IF)
then petroleum rich countries can use the concept for petroleum.

The U.S. has soft coal, lots of sulphur, burns smoky. Anthracite is cleaner. 'Clean' coal is ground into particles and burned more like gasoline than coal. No technology of man can prevent what is to happen.

The sky over the lake in Turkey, a U.S. 'ally' .. isn't it funny how beneath the same beautiful sky people war over dirtly little pieces of property? Salt of the earth beware.

Armageddon

The Cold War’s on again
Another false Armageddon
The New World Order wants you to believe
War is not about greed
The Old World Order promotes the New
Providing heroes for satan’s stew
Keep them in the dark and feed them bullshit
Mushrooms in the frying pan
Sizzle bodies sizzle mind
Chew a shroom and you’ll unwind
From sanity’s boarders
Smoke personal disorder
Drink a little smoke of tea
Abandon individual personality
Drop a little bit of acid
Pretend you’re still an innocent kid
Take any kind of pill
Especially if you are not ill
It’s the New World Agenda
To promote people who’ve gone around the benda
Easier to manipulate their brains
Rouse them up and get them on the trains
Ship them off to that distant front
Where bombs and bullets are blunt
Enough to rip your head off
... unfinished

'Clean' coal now a days includes sequestering CO2 underground.

Yes, and soon they'll be piping it back up to convert to energy if they follow the oriental example.
