More valuable science discoveries from Manned Space Flight:

1) The ISS is high enough so that the Earth's horizon appears clearly curved.

2) Astronaut Chamitoff's window shows some of Earth's complex clouds, in white,
. and life giving atmosphere and oceans, in blue.

3) It is not difficult for people living below to look back toward the ISS.

4) Telescopes can even resolve the overall structure of the space station.

Meanwhile back at the ranch:

<<It was a little over a year ago that [Fermilab] suffered Black Monday, the most severe budget cut in the history of the laboratory. All of you responded magnificently through all the challenges we faced and the laboratory is today in a much stronger position. We set records in every front from safety to luminosity to the efficiency with which we do our work. In the darkest moments we received financial support from a very generous private donor.>>
