Does anyone know if there's a place to go to see updated sat pix of the fires in CA?
TIA, Krys

You'll only see updated pictures when an imaging satellite passes over that region and they release the pictures. I don't know how often passes happen, and since all the satellites are either commerically owned and normally sell their images for profit, government owned and classified, or low-resolution weather satellites, that might not happen frequently.

Last time I was on Google maps they had a link to view photos of the fires, so you might try starting there.
