My desktop currently shows the Trifid Nebula, M-20. I really like it because it shows an eye-catching background of stars and all three main types of nebulae.

My desktop has the most recent image of M104 (sombrero galaxy) on it which has been there for months now. It is from the Spitzer link of the same galaxy

That would be an image with a lot of red and blue in it, and more detail than was shown in the Hubble image of the Sombrero. That one was mostly grey.

you know, every 5 thousand years the evil gets its chance to come into our universe, and destroy all the life. and the final battle will be fought here, on Earth, in Egypt.

err..am I missing something?! I recently bought a really good DVD of NASA footage called 'Out There' from panoramica.com (I think they also have it on amazon). I put it on my tv when I'm not actively watching it - makes for a pretty good picture frame
