The first thing that came to my mind when I viewed this planetary nebula was sheep's wool, so I think it should be called, "The Sheep's Wool Nebula" or Sheep Nebula.

It reminds me of a starfish too, but the reminiscense of cotton is also too strong. So I suggest the name "Cotton Starfish". Since calling it just Cotton Star would be too confusing, and just Starfish, not too fair.

...Just look up for yourself any other image of this object and you'll find that the only one with this arrangement of spots and specks will be the Hubble data. That's because they cosmic ray strikes are unique for each time the telescope captures some image.

What? There are several stars visible in the APOD image. Like I said, most of those streaks are cosmic rays. If you clean them up then you can more clearly see the stars. I "Hubble" more than any of you might expect.
