Perseid Fireballs
https://stefanoderosa.com/
Copyright: Stefano De Rosa
Please find above two images of perseid fireballs taken from Isola d’Elba (Elba Island, Italy). The first shows a fireball appeared in the sky just above a nice yacht in the bay of Calanova (in the east coast of the Island), casting a green reflection on the calm sea. The second image shows a bright fireball captured next to the Milky Way.
Elba is a Mediterranean island in Tuscany, located some 10 kilometres from the coastal town of Piombino and is worldwide famous as there Emperor Napoleon was exiled after his forced abdication in 1814.
Best regards
Stefano

August is usually regarded as "meteor month," with one of the best displays of the year reaching its peak near midmonth. That display is the annual Perseid meteor. In the foreground is the Monument of Caius Vibius a 4 m high monolith dating to the 1st century AD placed in Filippoi, Kavala Greece an important archaeological site of eastern Macedonia, with characteristic monuments of the Hellenistic, Roman and Early Christian periods

Composite of Perseid meteors over Llwyn Onn reservoir, Wales
http://www.mathewbrowne.co.uk
Who saw some meteors this weekend?
We were lucky enough to have very clear skies over the Brecon Beacons, and I captured over 30 meteors on camera. This photo is a composite of several of the largest meteors that fell during a 35 minute period over Llwyn Onn reservoir.
