Perseid close of Cassiopedia.
César Cantú
The Perseids are a prolific meteor shower associated with the comet Swift–Tuttle. The Perseids are so called because the point from which they appear to come, called the radiant, lies in the constellation Perseus. The name derives in part from the word Perseides, a term found in Greek mythology referring to the sons of Perseus.

TITLE: Big Dipper reflection in a pond on the roof of Galicia
DESCIPTION: You can see the reflection of popular asterism of the Big Dipper that is part of the constellation Ursa Major at a lagoon known as Laguna "Tablillas", of the many that make up the Peña Trevinca, Galicia-called roof (with 2170 meters of altitude). These Trevinca skies are about to be certified as tourist destination Starlight (R).
PICTURE DETAILS: Photographed using a compact "Samsung Galaxy" digital camera from Peña Trevinca in the municipality of A Veiga, Ourense (Galicia, Spain). ISO 3200 sensitivity and an exhibition of 16 seconds was used. The image is the night of August 11 at about 4 am, as we watched the Perseids.
