NOAO is operated by the Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy (AURA), Inc. under a cooperative agreement with the National Science Foundation. Data for this image was originally collected by the 4-m Blanco Telescope, at Cerro Tololo in Chile, for studies of star formation in dwarf galaxies. This image is a blend of narrow band data gathered with Ha, SII and OIII filters.

Copyright: Marc Toso This photo was taken Febuary 17, 2015 in the Valley of the Gods Utah sometime between 5:00-5:3am, signifying the rise of the galatic center which will be more and more visible from now until the fall. This is the earliest in the year I've been able to photograph the center of our galaxy. The two meteors on the right side of the image were just plane luck. I didn't realize they were there until I processed the image.

Mars, Moon, Venus and mountain... and tree.
Mountain Rtanj is located in central Serbia and this tree is broken by big ice storm one year ago. Almost all woods in eastern region of country was affected by this catastrophic event.
