The image shows the field close Sadr star in Cygnus (at lower right corner) and it is centered on a dark nebula at shape of a lace ; the image was taken in the last week (12-17 June) from Arizona and by my remote and robotic observatory; details of instrumets on my web page before linked

What are those two dark stripes in the picture? And why is there a bluish haze above the upper one?

This was shot in early June at about 7am from an airplane flying at 35,000 feet. The cloud-filled valley in the middle of the frame is about 50 miles northwest of Crater Lake in Oregon.

The anaglyph and cross-eyed stereo versions of this shot suggest that the upper stripe is located somewhere in mid-air while the lower one is close to or on the ground. The lower stripe is definitely not the shadow of the upper one, since the anti-solar point is just above and slightly to the right of the center of the frame.
