Fly me to the moon.....
Yesterday (04/01/2015) I could photograph these three different planes flying over the almost full moon. I was so lucky

Full Moon & Venus Belt
First Full Moon of 2015 as seen from the pacific coast of Guatemala. It was a beautifull moment since the moon was right under the earth shadows (Venus Belt).

This is apparently an enchanted view of an old ship run on the shore of Siracusa. The truth is that every day lots of migrants, coming from Africa, are trying to reach the cost of Italy hoping for a better life. They sail on board of old and crumbling ships like this, often (very often) losing their lives. This image is for everyone in order to remember this huge tragedy.

I spent 5 days over Christmas in the Grand Gulch in southern Utah looking for rock art and ruins. Found a fair share, but night photography was difficult when it got below freezing so soon after sunset. We found ourselves drinking hot beverages and retreating to our sleeping bags for 12hr sleep marathons instead.
This photo is from the final night, near the rim of Redman Canyon, a small tributary of the Grand Gulch. The pool was so still, like a mirror. In the morning it was a solid block of ice

I like the picture of NGC 1097 and its jets, but who took it? Is there some more information about that image?
