Trifid Nebula with my Newtonian 8inch
Hello there,
I am French and I am an amateur astronomer.
Even though I know I have no chance of one day being published on APOD, here is my photo of the Trifid Nebula (Messier 20).
I used a telescope 8inch (200/1000) and my DSLR 1100D Rebel T3 with Astrodon filter.
I'm glad to see this forum, the most beautiful dream would be to discover on the APOD

The NLC display in Stockholm last night was just incredible and covered half of the sky with electric blue filaments.
I stitched together 24 exposures taken with my fisheye lens into a Little Planet-projection so I could also include the beautiful summer cityskape.
Normaly the almost full Moon would have stolen the show, but a night like this it looked quite lonely on the southern horizon.
