I don't know what this poor Aristarchusinexile fellow did to deserve a vote on banishment, but I vote to ban him anyway, as I'm in a bad mood. You know, Astro fellow, a theory may turn out to be true, and in that case the theory would not be disprovable, so I think you were overly hard on poor Aristarchus fellow. Remember, he is your fellow man, even if he is worthy of banishment. Ban him gently, not harshly. Lock him away in isolation, yes, but do it out of consideration for the betterment of mankind, not resulting from being in a bad mood.

Joke, maybe. More precisely, the introduction to a humorous story, non-mainstream 1970s British-style. But I use it as a lesson in the absurdity of equating conformity with happiness (THX 1138 would understand) or the absurdity of enforcing happiness, similar to the sad but true story of the woman I saw on the bus years ago beating her child mercilessly and telling the child the beating would continue until he stopped crying.

Reading between the lines I learn King Otto was owner of a drug manufacturing corporation.

Actually, my name is not LOCO, those letters stand for Local Ottawa Cosmos Ottawa. I answer to almost anything though, seeing as how almost anything seems to go on APOD .. including space flights to the Guiness brewery on the moon orbiting Samos.

Very attractive names .. the fellow who thought of using them here on APOD must be very creative, possibly with a hint of mischief.

As has been pointed out this is not easy and the moderators to perform the task are volunteers.

The best thing to do is to ask Loco to be so kind as to stop changing his name
so that those who do not wish to read his posts can do so with minimal effort.

I am not trying to be practical. I am trying to express an ideal. Let me provide an example for comparison:

My (our) most local major league baseball team is the Washington Nationals. It would be nice to be a fan. I wear their hat, but it is just a hat. With a record so far this season of 24 wins and 58 losses, they are by far the worst team in the major leagues. Winning 30% of their games would be an improvement, but when I watch a game I don't say "I hope they get their record up to .300"; I say, "I hope they win this game. I hope they win all of their games. I hope they win their division. I hope they win the World Series." The fact that such hopes are absurd does not keep a (would-be) fan from having them.

Hello All,

I have to say that the last 15 posts have got to be the worst example of what this Forum has or is becoming. And it is truly a shame. So sad to see such smart and intelligent components whom I've admired and respected for a year and a half get reduced to such a level.

Happy ari? It's hard for me to believe any of your recent posts serve you well or do you any justice; never mind there utter presence within this venue. Sad indeed. Included is, of course, the meaningless comments and replies that your posts have elicited. I hope you are pleased with the outcome.

Please, you really do need to try and exit this Forum on your own. Nothing is cute or funny anymore. Nothing's clever or even approaching witty either. Please, just go. I won't ask again I swear but to be honest even my patience is thinning. I knew who Loco was after your very first entry and said as much. You 've reinvented your self worse than ever. What's your point? Just go please and go NOW if you don't mind. It doesn't somehow seem fitting that my final post to you should be of such an evicting nature but there you have it. Done.

Hello apodman,

One?? Okay, guilty as charged, I can certainly take some deserved lumps here but can you at this juncture disagree with me?
