G'day Arramon

I would not call our Black Hole supermassive. Its only a few million sun masses, compared to M87 with a few billion sun masses and there are some with over 10 billion solar masses.

In many cases size does not count.

It does the job

O.o!!

http://www.mpe.mpg.de/ir/GC/index.php
Within few light years we find here ten thousands of stars forming a dense cluster, and the geometric centre of our Galaxy harbours a supermassive black hole with around 3.6 million solar masses. Due to its relative proximity of around 8 kiloparsecs, the Galactic Centre is a perfect laboratory to examine the physical processes in a galactic nucleus.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supermassive_black_hole
A supermassive black hole is a black hole with a mass of an order of magnitude between 10^5 and 10^10 solar masses. Most, if not all galaxies, including the Milky Way, contain supermassive black holes at their centers.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milky_Way#Galactic_center
The galactic center harbors a compact object of very large mass (named Sagittarius A*), strongly suspected to be a supermassive black hole. Most galaxies are believed to have a supermassive black hole at their center.
O.O
