Well, i finally got all the snow removed from storm Dennis((the menace)) and now the weather guys are telling us that It's going to snow a little tuesday, before the next storm comes wednesday, that looks very much like the one we just had. Of course It's a little early yet, but they say it looks like it has the character of a BIG one. Snowblower, don't fail me now :!:

High today 75o! Low tonight 38o. Winter storm watch in effect for Tulsa tonight (90 miles NE). High tomorrow 43o (can't you keep that cold up there, orin?). Winter moves back in Monday night. Rain followed by freezing rain, sleet, and snow as temperatures drop. Snow Tuesday.

Here's a few pictures to show what the snow levels around here look like. I must point out that the bottom of the mail box is 42 inches above the road and i can't see it from the house anymore.

It's supposed to snow here also; I hope they are wrong.

bystander; you're supposed to share that nice warn weather. It's in the 20's here and it'll be colder and snowing the next two days if the weather predictions are correct.

Wow, could you ship some of your balmy weather up here to the mountains? Our high tomorrow is supposed to be -2°F, and our low -26°F, and that's before any possible wind chill. I don't think we've had cold like that settle over us for a few years.

Yeah, well we okies are WIMPs. Sub-freezing temperatures and sub-zero wind chills and local news goes into panic mode. We get 24 hour weather reports complete with weather persons telling us to stay indoors or how to dress if we have to be outside (don't ever accuse us of having common sense). Add a threat of ice and snow, and the governor shuts down the state.

Governor Declares State of Emergency for Oklahoma
Oklahoma State, Oklahoma County, and Oklahoma City offices are closed tomorrow, and it hasn't even started yet.

Well, here we go again. connecticut is just starting to get the one-two punch from the storm that's been ravaging about half the country. And i was just starting to see the top of my mailbox again from all the snow thus far, compacking itself because of It's weight. Not only that, but the weather guys are reminding us that tradionally february is the snowiest month of the year! Way to go, weather guys! Cheer us up :!: :!: Lets hear it for the weather guys, :P :P :P :P
On the bright side - I may be able to get some nice icy pictures. Br-r-r-r-r-r-r-r

Looks like we peaked out today at -8°F; that was with the Sun out all day. Heading for perhaps -25°F tonight; if we hit that I think it will be a record low since I started recording the temperatures here about 10 years ago. I think today was also a record low high.

A couple days ago we were riding up into the back country with nothing but cotton shirts.
