Video includes some great landscapes from a recent American road trip and a little astrophotography too. A little bit groovy.

More than a little groovy, if you ask me!

That Woodkid song and video just above my last post is quite beautiful.
(Richard from RIYM is quite a groovy guy. I met him at a dinner party a few years ago, arranged by our better halves, who used to be housemates. I've been a RIYM fan ever since.)
Fair warning: Slow, quiet, and sad sounding version of Metallica's Nothing Else Matters sung by a boy girls choir. Do not initiate playback if any of these things bother you.

I've been watching the movie Coraline lately, and I really like the music score. Two of my favorite characters in that movie are the retired burlesque artists Miss Spink and Miss Forcible, who, button eyes and all, put on a performance for Coraline and her friend Wybie in the "other world":

Mary has an amazing story. The story in this song about her stealing her mothers station wagon to run away is true. She did it twice! She made it to Boston where she created an award winning restaurant called "Dixie Kitchen". Gave it all up to become an amazing singer songwriter.

Good to hear from you again, Orin, long time no see!
And that's a nice song.

You, at least, owe us a full paragraph on the New Horizons flyby.
Did it meet your expectations? What was the biggest surprise. Are you in postpartum depression?
(You were deeply in love with the distance mysterious unappreciated little object until we finally got there...and then you sorta just dumped her.)

Hi Art; I follow New Horizons faithfully every day; and have made a few background pictures already! I like what they are showing! I was a little disappointed at first; but it was because I wanted them to process the pictures faster! I especially like the one that showed the misty atmosphere!
