Mono Lake, where this calcium carbonate pillar called Tufa formed in lakebed, has a great night sky condition. The milky way presents as a giant luminous band even by naked eye.
Fig 1. With strong airglow excited by unknown atmospheric activity hundred miles away, green light served as weak aurora standing by the side of milky way.
Fig 2. Tranquil environment without any wind makes Mono Lake a perfect mirror even to reflect Tufa. We can also se the Andromeda Galaxy, the most distant object seeing directly by naked eye, and a piece of milky way.

Messier 20, the Trifid Nebula, which is both beautiful and interesting since it includes all three kinds of nebulae. A bright emission nebula in pink, surrounded by a blue reflection nebula, and set through with dark nebulas.
It was captured using a remote 150mm telescope at iTelescope's observatory at Mayhill in New Mexico with a single shot colour SBIG camera. The total exposure is 50x300s or 4h10min, but equivalent to 4h10min for red and blue, and 8h20min green, ie. 16h40min when using separate filters.
Thanks for your consideration,
Cheers,
Michael

On the evening of 9th July, 2016. at slopes the Bakony Mountains, Hungary, some peacefully grazing cows were just finishing their late dinner while the crescent Moon and Jupiter hung above them among thin clouds - these created a reddish aureole around Moon. Although the cows are partly responsible for global warming with their methane exhausts, they sill make a landscape tranquil enough to include them in photoes.
