The vivid hues of Mars and the cooler tone of Porima can be seen through the high clouds on May 31, 2014. The exposure was a stack of eight 20 second exposures. An iOptron Sky Tracker was used with a Canon T2i and a 100 mm f/2.0 lens.

An intergalactic meteor? A beautiful night in the mountains of Colorado is pierced by this unusual configuration of meteor travel. Striking through the Andromeda Galaxy and through the periphery of the Milky Way this is a most unusual alignment of objects.

A panorama of 16 images taken about 8,000 feet high in the Colorado mountains near Independence Pass across the waters of Twin Lakes. Interestingly in order to get a more proper morphology of the stars my tripod and I waded out into the lake. Nothing like taking photos in the dark in an unknown lake with your equipment to keep yourself frosty at 2:00 AM. Other than the slightest of ripples on the opposite shore the water was as smooth as the glow of the Milky Way. Far, far away the glow of Buena Vista and possibly even Colorado Springs add a bit of light pollution on the horizon.
