Nova Delphini 2013 on August 23rd, 01:01ut. Four images taken from the 16th, 18th, 23rd and Sept. 2nd, See Animation At:( http://www.jaicoa-observatory.com/SNDel ... im-EMr.gif ) Showing the Nova brightness differentials through this period (decreasing) and more on the red (Ha). A nova (plural novae or novas) is a cataclysmic nuclear explosion in a white dwarf star. It is caused by the accretion of hydrogen on to the surface of the star, which ignites and starts nuclear fusion in a runaway manner.

I am speechless with the dramatic change I saw of the recent Nova in the constellation of Delphinus.
In just 20 days the Nova turned from a bright blue color to an intense red/pink. It's magnitude dropped
considerably as well. Its one of the things you don't see everyday.

Its a fine example of what the great philosopher Heraclitus once said :

"There is nothing permanent except change."

Those are neat, Olivier. I wonder why the trough near 4840 disappears and then starts to reappear again at the end of the animation.
Just call me "geck" because "zilla" is like a last name.
