Any part of the image that has a non linear stretch applied to it is artistic (doctored). However, what you see in the image was picked up by the camera, so where do you want to draw the line?

What does "artistic" mean? What does "doctored" mean?
The image is an "actual photo", and every structure seen in it is physically there, with its color representing its composition. In other words, while the image has aesthetic qualities, there's nothing unscientific or physically inaccurate or misleading about it.
