Keep the economy going... more like keep the dumps full. Heck, turn your own house into a dump. Why have less stuff when you can have more?

True; but don't jobs depend on production? Production depends on consumption! All of which creates stuff! I don't have the answer!!!
Oh Yes; I've accumulated a lot of stuff in the last 50 years in this house and a lot of that is going the recycle bins; the land fill; and the Simon House!

When I had a car, I drove slow and steady as I can to save gas. I took roads along cropfields instead highways. That way I spared half of the costs.
Today Gas costs about 1,6 Euro per liter in Germany , thats 2,16 USD for a liter.
Price goes always up when holidays start.
