Starship Asterisk*

I can't figure out if RH if online or not, camera shows on, and the skys are clear, but I'm not getting a clear image of anything for the last 2 or 3 days.


By the way, could someone give me pointers as to how to use the fitsview program? I can load an image, but I don't know what to do with it once I have it there. I have lots of dandy options to click on, so I click away but then I need to enter information and I don't know where to get the information like magnitude, etc. I thought it was supposed to give me the magnitude not the other way around. Obviously I am totally misunderstanding the whole purpose of the program! Any help I can get I will appreciate, I don't expect a complete tutorial, just somewhere to start. Thanks!

As of 3/14/05 the photometry files are back! Hooray!

I sent an email to John Oliver, will let you know as soon as I hear back from him.

I am told a lightning strike took out the internet connection at RH, apparently there were explosions and such. John Oliver tells me they may have to have someone climb a tower to repair the damage so it may be a few days, more as it unfolds...

Apparently RH is still recovering from the lightning strike, will post an update as soon as I can get one.

Looks like RH is back online. The image isn't great, but it's good to see it operational once again. Great work!

RH appears to be working normally and returning nice images of the moon. Photometry files are empty but accessable.
