I think this is one rare APOD discussion that could open to many different truths whether they be scientific, physical, emotional or spiritual. There are many colors to a balanced wheel and we should look beyond our own veils to see other universal perspectives.geckzilla wrote:APOD is for everyone, even people who want to stop by and make a joke.JKent@APD wrote:JKent@APD wrote:This is my 2nd day using this "discussion". Job's Miseries
And you will forget your misery,
Or you'll remember it as waters that pass
Life shall be clearer than the noonday;
although darkness, it will be like the morning
You have confidence, because there is trust;
You will look around and rest in safety.
translation is bad, I leaned against Google.

name: Human's imagination
artist: Jára Cimrman
artist's motivation: he was thinking about number 8 (3 occurrences in 1888), which resembles sign of infinity. The name of the illustration should originally be "Infinity", but has been changed by the author. The man on the illustration is the artist himself.
explanation: the facts, that the author is still unknown and the face of the man on the illustration is not completely visible are typical features of Czech fictive artist (born between 1869 and 1874) and his production. The first appearance of the illustration also corresponds to the period of first work of Jára Cimrman.

I would call this a Wheel In A Wheel. I think there needs to be a reason for the name. A wheel in a wheel makes you feel a wheel in a wheel that's made of steel. A whale in a wheel will tell the tale and put your feet on a new trail so I would call this a Wheel In A Wheel. Yes there is a method to this madness you may say but I see it another way and that's all I have to say on this beautiful day.

I would name this work "Mankind Reaching for Immortality."

As an answer to the everlasting desire of Man we could name that universe-picture : AN EVERY NIGHT'S DREAM
