3 planets: Earth, Venus, Mars

- Lake Michigan sunset with Earth, Venus, and Mars
Can you spot the three planets in this photo? The Earth is of course one, with a lovely view of the sunset over Lake Michigan (this was taken from Onekama, MI) on the evening of Feb. 27, 2015. All the "water" that you see is in fact ice, as the lake has frozen out to the horizon over the last few days. The bright "star" near the top of the image, peeking out between the clouds, is actually Venus! Can you spot the third planet? It is difficult to see in this image, but the faint "star" just below and to the right of Venus is actually the planet Mars! One gorgeous sunset, three planets, and a frozen Great Lake... what an awesome evening!
Here is Mars...(zoom of prior post)

- Zoom in on Venus - Mars
For those who cannot actually see Mars in my APOD submission just posted.... here is a blow-up with a bit of contrast adjustment to bring it out. Venus is very obvious, but Mars is fairly faint to see well in the full image... at least when reduced in size to that necessary for an APOD attachment. I just wanted those taking up the challenge of finding Mars to have the pleasure of seeing it in the image! Enjoy!
