In the National Park of the Sibillini Mountains, nature gave us a unique spectacle.
To admire something like that we should move in '"Arches National Park" in Utah (United States) or Kings Canyon in the "Watarrka National Park" in Australia but ... fortunately ... also in Italy and more precisaente in the Marche, we can see something like that.
Our "Red Blades" are of sandstone while the American and Australian rock, where these scenarios are formed by the erosion caused by weathering of rocks through the run of many thousands and thousands of years.
It may be noted that Vega is the brightest star in the third about the crossing in the lower left near one of the "pinnacles". Towards the center, and high above the upper third note is the second brightest star is Deneb in the constellation Cygnus and above it the North America Nebula or NGC7000, going back to Deneb to the left following the arc galactic Sadr is that it is the second brightest star in the Swan after Deneb and in this case the third brightest star in the scene.

Launch of the Minotaur 1 by
Radical Retinoscopy, on Flickr
The launch of the Minotaur 1 from NASA's Wallops Flight Facility was photographed from Lancaster, PA on November 19, 2013. I used a Canon T2i and a Canon 50 mm f/1.4 lens at f/5.6. I should have used a wider lens; I didn't realize the launch would take up 1/4 of the sky from 154 miles away! I should have paid closer attention in trigonometry!

Final separation of the Minotaur 1 is seen high in the sky of Lancaster, PA on the evening of November 19, 2013. Two exposures were stacked in StarStaX using a Canon T2i (ISO 400 / 25 seconds) and a 50 mm f/1.4 lens at f/5.6. I was surprised how high the separation was from 154 miles away from the Wallops Island launch site.

The small ring like nebula in the centre is known as PhJa 1. It was discovered in 1991 by Randy Phelps and K.A. Janes and a previous study suggests it might be a photoevaporating globule. More here:

THE COMET AT THE GATES OF DAWN
At the gates of possible destruction, Comet C/2012 S1 ISON travel directly toward the sun saying farewell to the dawn sky. The image shows the comet a few hours before being hidden in the glare of the Sun, showing a tail dimmer than previous days but offering a spectacular, green and bright coma. As of today we do not know what will happen, it has crossed the critical line ... we hope he can survive the perihelion and enjoy a great show.
Images in
the website of la HIta Observatory of November 15th shows many details in the tail after the first outburst.

IC405 - Flaming Star Nebula and IC410 - Tadpoles Nebula
These nebulae look good in their own right but really shine when imaged together as a pair in a widefield shot. This was taken over 3 nights with a total of just over 10 hours exposure time through Ha, OIII and SII filters which were mapped to the HST palette.

A simple montage of Comet ISON from Jan.-May (hidden by sun) Sept.-Nov. thru my last Observation and hopefully if it survives a recovery (continuation) within the next few weeks.

The North America Nebula is cataloged as NGC7000 and it is in the constellation Cygnus, very close to the star Deneb. Although unknown distance from our solar system, it is estimated that if Deneb is the star that ionizes the hydrogen form, must be located at 1800 light years of distance. This picture I made last year using narrow band filters, just to highlight the ionization of the interstellar cloud, and it is intended by the Epsilon 180 ED telescope and camera QSI540, spending 4 hours of exposure. Then processed with the software PixInsight.

Single short 30s exposure each, field of view is around 2.25x3 degree each frame, this indicate the scale of tail.
I guess there is only one day or two left that I can image this comet.
hope you enjoy and thanks for looking.
Clear sky,
