(I would not like a high of 27°F, but if it's going to be that cold, it should be snowing! That's the only thing that could make that temperature worthwhile in my book!)
Just think: Sunday's low temperature is 44 with a high of 33. Monday's low is 19 with a high not even above freezing. Is there snow in the forecast?

Whoo Hoo!
The view out my lab window... 5" of snow. Unusually cold with 5°F/-15°C at noon, but it will warm back up above freezing in a couple of days. In the meantime, it's great to have some moisture.

We had a few snowstorms last winter that dropped this much. But nothing in the spring (when we really need it), and this storm is the first measurable precipitation in nearly three months.

We're supposed to get some flurries overnight! I don't think it will be measurable though; and boy that Northwest wind cuts right through you! Brrrrr! I don't know how I'll stand it when it gets really cold!

Orin, you don't 'stand' it, you sit it, all bundled up with a big mug of hot chocolate.

And we got no! Never did get flurries overnight! I can live without the snow; but we could use some moisture!

We're to get snow, then ice pellets, then freezing rain, then lots of rain today, while the temperature rises from -3°C (last night's low) to +12°C tonight. Maritime weather!

Here, in the north-east of Connecticut this past week, It's varied from 50'F overnight to 15'F. But it's been mostly just above freezing with light rain and fog. Not typical December weather.

Well that pretty much narrows down the informative snow report.

No snow; but we finally got some rain Friday night, Saturday morning! A whole inch of the wet stuff.
I know it's winter and we should be getting snow instead; but it is moisture and I'll take it.
Hopefully; it means that the drought is going to be over!

Yesterday the weather report said that we would have no snow for Christmas around where I live, and I cheered. Now they say the snow will be back, and again my life will be so complicated. How do I get around? Will it be possible to for me to use my bicycle? (Probably not.) I'm going to spend a lot of time with my mother this Christmas, and she lives in the same city as me but relatively far away. There are no really good buses from my place to her place. And I need to buy groceries for her, and also other heavy things that need to be transported. And I have always hated carrying things on my back, because my shoulders get so extremely uncomfortable, so I don't own a backpack. Need I say that I haven't got a car? So, will I have to walk for miles in the snow, carrying heavy loads in my hands? Or will I have to go by taxi all the time, which will be expensive indeed?

Ann, do you have a little cart to attach to your bicycle if it turns out there won't be much of any snow?? Is there any bus or shuttle service around the area of your mother?
Or... if you know how to drive... how about renting a car for a day or two, to get all your 'mother' shoping done?

Ummmm. That's the problem, you see. I don't have a driving license.
For now the snow is still melting, and there isn't much left of it. The recent weather reports say that we will get some additional snow on Friday and Saturday, but not a lot at all. I should be able to use my bicycle.

Wow! Pippi Långstrump, strongest girl in the world, pedalling her semi-invisible bike!
Maybe I should try to copy her...?

It is supposed to snow here today! Weather reports range from 2 to 10 inches with blizzard conditions starting about noon and continuing overnight. That may be; but I took a gander at the doppler image on my computer and we seem to be in a hole where there is a lot of moisture to the North and also to the South! Out here it looks quite dry! Maybe the hole will collapse and we will get the snow anyway! We need the moisture so I will not wish it away even though I don't like snow!
There is another system coming in from the Pacific that is supposed to get here in time for Christmas! Ho ho ho; let it snow! Ho ho ho; let it snow1 I will stay where it's warm inside! Let the shoppers go outside!

It's snowing! It started at around 3:00 CDT this morning and is predicted to stop at around 9:00. But there's already two inches on the ground, and the conditions are terrible - slick roads, wind gusts of about 50 mph (visibility less than 1/2 mile), and ice in some spots.

The weather howled and growled and maybe dumped an inch of snow on us!
I guess More is supposed to be coming!
PS; wound up with about 4" and the snow blower broke when my son was cleaning my walks and drive!

We got around three inches of snow, and boy was it windy! By the time the storm ended, I was shoveling ice off my driveway. But it's going to be a frigid ten degrees tomorrow morning.
