Helix Nebula - The eye of God, the death of a star

Planetary nebulae are the remains of stars. The name "planetary nebula" comes from the first observations of these objects, sometimes having a circular aspect.
The colors observed from the various elements that emit more or less ionized each in a very specific wavelength, mainly Hydrogen and Oxygen.
Helix nebula is considered one of the closest to Earth, only 700 light years away.

Dear sirs,

Description:
On19th of June 2020, I traveled to a near dark location to capture the milkyway, and I was standing on a cliff. While seeing the great dark horse just behind me, I had the idea of intentionally focusing on myself, keeping the stars out of focus which gave a Bokeh effect while preserving the shape of great dark horse visible.

This was a plan for a long time to capture something interesting crossing the path of the Moon. Everyday, hundreds of fruit bats travel at dusk just after the sunset. I wanted to capture an image of a bat against the moon. With a lot of perseverance and spending much time, I was finally able to photograph the bat passing in the front of the moon. Since the bat was quite fast, you can the blur because of the slow shutter. Also, the bat was flying diagonally from the bottom to the top at angle. Surprisingly, this looks like a shadow of some Bat-shaped ship falling on the moon, but in reality, it is just a beautiful bat passing in front of the Moon!

The night skies in the Appalachian Mountains can make it seem like the stars are so close you can reach up and pull them out of the sky. Would you like to camp here and experience the night skies for astrophotography? I used an astronomy modified Nikon Z6 with 24mm at F/1.4 for 15 seconds ISO8000.

Hello,

Helix Nebula - 60h of exposure

I'm watching you!

Recovery of the helix nebula, with more than 60h of retained poses (out of 90h), captured over three months. I think I've reached the limit magnitude of my sky, impossible to make the signal come out more from the bottom of the sky.
The Helix Nebula is a planetary nebula located in the Aquarius constellation, near the Southern Fish. Its strong resemblance to a human eye has earned it the nickname "the eye of God".

Hi all,
This is IC 4605 a blue reflection nebula surrounding the star i Scorpii. The nebula is part of a much larger complex which is often called the Antares-Rho Ophiuchi cloud complex. This image features IC4605, IC 4606 which is lit up by the radiation of the red giant Antares and globular star cluster NGC 6144.

Daddy/Daughter night.
My first night out with my eldest daughter, 14, at Lulworth Clove in Dorset, United Kingdom - I took her down to show her the Milky way and teach her a little more about the night sky and my hobby - I managed to capture this shot of her seeing the Milky Way for the first time with her own eyes. Jupiter was also casting a wonderful reflection into the clove with Saturn just to the left.
